Dear Thought Leader,

Happy Friday! I trust you’re looking forward to Victoria Day long weekend, along with a Royal Wedding and NHL hockey playoffs; there's something for every Canadian to be excited about!

One of the highlights of the week was our annual MindShare Report Advisory Board meeting. This is an opportunity for us to get frank and valuable insight from our valued education and technology partners to refine and bring you the very best news and information on what’s happening in the learning and innovation space across Canada.

If you happen to be interested in serving on our MindShare Report Advisory Board, please drop me a note with your expressed interest! We’re always looking for passionate EdTech Leaders!

I’m excited to share we’ve finalized plans as a media partner with ISTE18  and our CanAm Celebration of Excellence Meetup location on June 25th, Buddy Guy’s Legends, Chicago. It’s an iconic spot for Jazz and Blues lovers, owned by Grammy Award winning. Buddy Guy himself! Drop me a note if you’re going to ISTE and would like to attend!

We’re thrilled to have Canvas join us as a sponsor of the CanAM meetup. Congrats to Mindshare’s friend & colleague, Aerin Guy, who joins Instructure to lead the Canadian team representing the Canvas learning platform brand; one of the fastest growing learning platforms in the world. Other valued sponsors include; the Government of Canada, Dell EMC, ForwardThinkingedu, and ISTE.

In late breaking news, I want to congratulate Nicole Morgan, now Deputy Minister of Education with Yukon Education and a member of the C21 CEO Academy Board.

We’re inspired by the many pockets of excellence we see across Canadian education systems, and welcome your comments and continued updates!

I hope you enjoy this week’s Top10. Until next time, keep the digital learning curve steep!

“Innovation is one of the primary driving forces behind Canada’s prosperity, standard of living and quality of life. And while Canadians are some of the world’s most accomplished innovators, we seldom recognize ourselves as such or celebrate our outstanding contributions to our society and to humanity as a whole.

In today’s globally competitive and interconnected world, increasing productivity through the creation of new products and services, improving public sector performance, and building an inclusive, compassionate society will be the keys to Canada’s success as a caring, efficient and prosperous nation.”

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette,
Governor General of Canada
