Back to School season gets easier with live tips and hands-on help from #MicrosoftEDU
The Back to School season is a hectic period of behind-the-scenes work for educators, school leaders and IT leaders who want their students to walk into a seamless, appropriately set up classroom. Hectic doesn’t have to mean hard, though, and the Microsoft Education Team wants to be there for you while you set up your digital classroom, save time and improve learning outcomes for the coming school year.
We hope you’ll join our Back to School prep session, available online and globally, on August 4th for a variety of tips, tutorials and great resources from our hosts. This year, we’re joined by our Flipgrid friend and student voice enthusiast, Adam Short Shorts. We’ll also offer hands-on support for those visiting in-person at Microsoft Stores.

On a sad note, I recently learned of the passing of education industry colleague -- and icon -- Charles Blaschke. I’ve known Charles for some 20 years as his wife Kathy Hurley and I were friends and colleagues at The Learning Company. I was fortunate to connect with Charles while at the recent ISTE conference in Chicago and always appreciated his friendship, collegiality and insight. RIP.

Thanks again Zelia for the opportunity to share our startup story with your campers and live tour Mindshare Workspace! We appreciate the thumbs up! |

As we’re in summer planning mode for Back2School, it is a crucial time for EdTech solution providers and for those who work behind the scenes in schools, colleges & universities to get systems in place for September. It’s also a great time to focus on professional learning as I embrace the notion of lifelong learning.
Speaking of which we were thrilled to host a summer robotics camp at the MindShare Workspace in partnership with Logics Academy and the Peel District School Board. What was very cool about the program is that students were taking it as part of the Camp Ignite course experiencing a variety of excursions, including a Robotics Camp and will receive a credit for the course. That’s what you call innovation!
