This month we were honoured to host our local City Councillor, Martin Reid, along with Jeff Barbosa, GM, Erin Mills Towne Centre for a tour and conversation about community engagement. 

 

One of our passions is to support the local school boards, colleges & universities through coops and summer internships in helping prepare our next generation of leaders with essential skills.

Erin Mills Town Centre In Mississauga Adding New Retailers With Eye On Future Residential Use [Interviews]

A $100-million investment in the redevelopment of the Erin Mills Town Centre a few years ago has transformed the property into a premium shopping destination in Mississauga with the potential of future residential use being eyed for the site.

Mississauga Climate Leaders Program

The Mississauga Climate Leaders Program (MCLP) aims to support local private and public sector leaders committed to measuring and reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and leading Mississauga towards a net zero future.

Delivered by the City of Mississauga in partnership with the Mississauga Board of Trade and Partners in Project Green, the MCLP will provide opportunities for local organizations to promote, develop and advance their sustainability goals through specialized support programs and events.

2. Toronto's Pearson Airport to host hydrogen refuelling station 
 
 

Toronto's Pearson Airport will be home to Ontario's first public hydrogen refuelling station for zero-emission vehicles powered by fuel cells.

The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) and Carlsun Energy announced Thursday that the refuelling station will have capability for both cars and transport trucks.

Carlsun will build, own and operate the station, which the two groups said is enabled by a $1 million investment from Natural Resources Canada.

3. Up to $122,000 in funding is available for eligible businesses in Mississauga and Ontario

The CDAP, introduced in 2019, is a federal initiative that provides grants to eligible businesses to either help them upgrade their tech or boost their online presence.

There are two different grants available in the CDAP: The Boost Your Business Technology Grant, and the Grow Your Business Online Grant.

 

4. Peel Region receives the CVC 2022 Green Cities Award

Peel Region is a proud recipient of the 2022 Green Cities award from Credit Valley Conservation (CVC).

This award recognizes Peel Region for implementing leading-edge green infrastructure in both new development and existing urban areas. Infrastructure is the physical structure needed to operate a city such as stormwater pipes, roads or public buildings. Green infrastructure uses natural vegetation and green technologies to provide these services and offers additional environmental, health and social benefits to communities.

5. 'A decent look': 2 developments with over 230 total units approved for Mississauga neighbourhood

Parts of Mississauga’s Lakeview neighbourhood are set to get a facelift after city councillors recently approved two developments that include 236 residential units.

The two developments, a nine-storey building with ground floor commercial units at 1407 Lakeshore Rd. E. and a 10-storey rental apartment project at 1303 Lakeshore Rd. E, were approved by the city’s planning and development committee during June 12 and 26 meetings respectively.
