After an 'eventful' start to the September Back to Business/Back to School Year! This week we welcomed three co-op students from local high schools, Gonzaga and John Fraser as we are truly passionate about the future of work & learning in preparing our next generation leaders with the essential skills to thrive beyond high school.

 

Congratulations to the City of Mississauga, who recently ranked in top 20 for best business locations in Canada for seventh consecutive year. We proudly chose to locate in Mississauga because of its strategic location (proximity to the airport), business ecosystem and the outstanding support services from the Economic Development Office.

The day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. The holiday came into effect in 2021 to respond to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s call to action number 80 by creating a holiday which seeks to honour First Nations, Inuit and Métis Survivors, and their families and communities.

Not-for-profit arts, culture and community organizations requiring financial support for the 2024 calendar year are encouraged to apply for the City of Mississauga’s 2024 Culture and Community Grant Programs.

 

New for 2024 grants is the theme “Celebrate 50”, which aims to support arts and culture initiatives related to the City’s 50th anniversary next year. Groups applying for other grant streams in 2024 can also align their activities with the anniversary. 2024 also marks the second year of the Live Music Grant pilot program, which supports for-profit concert presenters as a part of the City’s Music Strategy.
